This year’s theme—Where Architecture Meets Planet, Us, Future—challenges architects, designers, and creatives practitioners to rethink methodologies in response to evolving global and industry demands.
The conference explores three critical lenses:
- Architecture Meets Planet: Sustainable design in a globalized, climate-challenged world.
- Architecture Meets Us: How architecture fosters social connection, heritage, and community.
- Architecture Meets Future: Embracing AI, automation, and technological shifts in practice.
Hosted at Johannesburg’s Keyes Art Mile (opening night, 28 August) and UJ Kingsway Campus (main conference, 29–31 August), the event blends inspiration with practical insights. The opening exhibition highlights graduate work, while at the conference SACAP accredited CPD sessions cover sustainable innovation, equitable urban development, and digital transformation.
